If you caught the last episode of Big Brother 10 on tv, you may have some idea of how Jerry has changed. He went from a sweet old army man, a real american hero, to an old grumpy, vindictive, hurtful man. I think a lot of america is probably sick of him. His inability to whisper to his strange old-manisms (brushing his dentures in the shower? Using sanitary wipes and leaving them on top of the trash can? His weird stretch rope exercises?), Jerry is really rubbing everything the wrong way.
here’s a quick rundown of everyone in the house:
April - She’s still banging Ollie, they’ve had their words with each other but the showmance is still burning strong. Currently she’s speaking with Michelle, but it looks like she has an alliance with Ollie and Jerry to get Keesha out. From an outsider it looks like she humors Jerry more than she values his input. She’s proven herself to be a fighter, easily winning the endurance competition and saying she would eat any bug, even a cockroach or shave her head to win a comp. Ollie, man. be careful bro.
Libra - On the block this week, Libra got called out for always buzzing in people’s ears and her ability to seemingly always stir up the pot. Her motor-mouth is getting her in trouble with the houseguests and I think she may have dug herself into a hole and is probably going home this week. She has been repeatedly accused of being a poor mother, considering that she has such young kids and apparently lives mostly off her husbands salary while working from home (and having her kids in daycare!?). She was allied with April, Ollie, Keesha and everyone else, but it looks like she may be out on her own. Not that that’s stopped her from running her mouth at all.
Michelle - HOH this week and totally in charge - she’s championing the cause for Jessie. I think she’s not so smart about avenging his eviction. Initially she targeted Dan, but she made two good choices in putting up Libra (who has repeatedly targetted Jessie) and Keesha (who put Jessie up and didn’t use her veto on him regardless of how it was exposed that her reasons for putting him up were way off). She’s gotten a little tearful in the last weeks but she is still loud as ever. She is still tight with the only remaining member of her original alliance - Memphis, and she’s recently been spending time with Ollie and April. She’s proven that she can be a contender in endurance comps and that she is in fact, very, very, portuguese.
Keesha - She’s the other nom this week and although odds are she’s safe with Libra up on the block, she’s still not doing so well in keeping her cool. She’s still been keeping as straight as possible with people and playing a very honest game (compared to Libra), there is still the possibility that because she is such a strong player she will be seen as a major threat and voted out. Renny and her are still extra close and Memphis is also backing her.
Ollie - he’s still banging April. I think he’s just going to get by for a while by not drawing any attention to himself. Until someone decides to break up him and April.
Renny - The old girl has still got it. I’m not sure if it’s just me but she looks younger every day. She has a very no-nonsense kind of tone about her, and she has been talking with Michelle in a very straight-forward manner. She’s still got her bed buddy Keesha, and Dan has been looking out for her, showing her some kindness when she got overwhelmed missing her family during Michelle’s HOH reveal. I think Renny is also playing a good game, granted she’s had her own issues with the CRAZY COLONEL. I’d just like to see her win something. Soon.
Memphis - The mixologist is mixing it up! At the beginning of the season I didn’t care much for Memphis, but now - I still don’t care much for him. I will give him credit on being one of the first houseguests to bring out the angry old codger in Jerry - looking like he was gonna knock his old ass out for calling him a womanizer. He’s working on getting in a bit closer with Michelle, the last remaining member of his alliance that has slowly fallen (Brian, Angie, Jessie…) and I think maybe him and Dan might be able to put something together against Jerry - if they ever win anything.
Jerry - The sweet old man is a cussin old devil all of a sudden. Brian had some interesting things to say about Jerry recently - insinuating that he was barely even in the army, working a desk job nowhere near the action. But Jerry has won two POVs and was the first HOH, meaning he’s had a lot of power over the house. He’s getting almost as bad as Libra with his wandering room to room and putting in his two cents wherever he can - not to mention his totally harsh handling of Dan. Judas? doubt it. Making his statements about Dan and his cross, makes you think maybe his alzheimers is kicking in and he forgot about when he took off his army gear to double cross Brian. Right now he isn’t really close to anyone, but he’s humored by Ollie, April and Michelle who can barely wait for him to leave the room before mocking whatever he just said.
Dan - Lately Dan’s been a bit of the house clown, taking time out to wink to the cameras and break the fourth wall with occasional banter with ‘America’ (remember he asked us to save his job?) I think he’s still fighting the hard fight in the house, first being marked by the Brian fiasco, then put in a tough spot after being named America’s Player and having to go against his word in the eviction votes. Dan is quickly becoming a house favorite from what I read everywhere and I think he has the potential to go far if he can ever really forge a strong alliance with someone. He’s been handling the Jerry situation very smartly, making Jerry out to be the bad guy and himself to be somewhat of a weak player. Go on slick.
What I want to see? I want to see Libra out this week. Dan or Memphis to win HOH next week and get Jerry out. Get Michelle and April to evict Keesha. Memphis and Renny will evict Ollie to break up that mess. April will rage with emotion and evict Memphis. Renny and Michelle will get April evicted. Dan will mess up and get evicted because he’s slick, but not that slick. Renny will dropkick Michelle and get disqualified.
Manchelle will use her chin for victory.
